Psalm 22 (1997), tenor, piano,duration: 8 minutes. Text Psalm 22. Also known as Chant. Commissioned and premiered by Woodlake Lutheran Church, Richfield, Minnesota. Often performed at Maundy Thursday services
Songs of the Night Wind (1999), String Quartet No. 2, string quartet and baritone, duration: 18 minutes. Text by Carl Sandburg. Commissioned and premiered by the Stockholm String Quartet, Olle Persson, baritone, Stockholm, Sweden.
Whispers (2002), a song cycle of lullabies for soprano and chamber ensemble, piano, guitar, harp, cello, and flute ensemble, duration: 60 minutes, combining art song and lullaby, texts by Eugene Field; funded through the McKnight Foundation and Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Fellowship Programs.
